Dave's Deli and Emily's Homebaked...

Eversince I joined Beyoga last 2 Sundays, I've been so rajin and attended 4 classes already, the last one was yesterday for the 6.30p.m. yoga class with Ninie herself. I have also tried pilates for the first time last Sunday with my new friend, Chics. Hopefully she would wanna go again with me this weekend heheehee.... Not many people love waking up early on weekends, what more to exercise! Last nite, I went home so happy after my workout, I didn't feel hungry so for dinner I only ate fruits......2 thin slices of pineapples, 1 small packet of peeled longan, a few mangosteens anddddd.......durian (fail!!!). Anyhow, today I woke up so frustrated when I put on my pants and they are tight.....sedihnya!!!!! The combination of durian and pineapple made me bloated :(. But I don't care, I still wear it today anyway to motivate myself to diet more and exercise more. But kena tahan perut lah from time-to-time hahahahaaa....

Hmmmmm....you see lah, how to lose weight or get back my last year's ideal weight when I've been eating out alot lately. The last one was at Dave's Deli. Dave's Deli used to be my favourite place to hang out during lunch when I was working at MUI Plaza. During lunch, my colleague and I will just walk up a bit from our ground floor office to The Weld for our regular order of the scrumptious quarter chicken yg amat super sedapppp! Either this or the foot-long sausage, yums! And yg bestnya, my senior itu selalu belanja makan ;).

It's been a few years since I last ate at Dave's Deli and when we dined there last weekend at the Subang Parade branch, my daughter totally forgot that she has ever tasted the delicious quarter chicken before. Punya lah lama we didn't go there kan.

Feeling so greedy and all, we ordered all these........... .....quarter chicken for me and my daughter, slurpee and delicious mushroom soup with its equally tasty garlic bread for my boy, beef risolle for hubbs and steak pie as the extra dish for us, which in the end had to be packed 'coz we were all too stuffed. What can I say??? All the food tasted the same as I could remember, kudos to Dave's Deli team for still being able to maintain its quality and reasonable price.......our food and drink cost RM65 only :). Their special brown sauce that accompanies most dishes is their key attraction I think.

Dah sampai Subang Parade kan, haruslah meronda2 the whole place and our favourite area is the top most floor where the fleamarket is located. As usual, besides the interesting knick-knacks offered by the vendors, there were plentiful of home-baked goodies too. I bought this for dessert ....moist chocolate cake and butter cake from Emily. It's my first try with Emily's cakes. At first the dark coloured chocolate cake appeared like any ordinary moist chocolate cake, but just a tiny bite into it and I knew she used all the premium ingredient for her cakes. It has this very rich chocolaty taste, very Hershey of sort! The picky eater son of mine love it so much! And what can I say about the butter cake? Well, this is the only butter cake besides the one in Amcorp Mall that could rival my very own superlicious butter cake, I kid you not heehehee....

The chocolate cake costs RM6 per piece and the butter cake is RM5 per piece. If you happen to visit the Subang Parade fleamarket, make sure you buy a piece or two from this young Malay lady who sells seemingly boring looking array of cakes like the poppyseed cake, no frills cheese cake, sugee cake and many more besides the chocolate cake and butter cake......but I'm sure all her cakes taste out of this world like the ones I bought. Emily also takes orders for your special occasions, so call Emily at 012-5838117 to sample her delicious home-bakes.

Kepala Ikan @ Section 9...

This is another restaurant that is oh so near where I live but I have never ever stepped my foot inside the place.....until last Saturday. The restaurant is a frill-free one but this type of restaurants especially the ones with such name always tell me one thing only......that their food is special. Imagine a restaurant by the name of "Restoran Ayam Kampung Nasir", surely it means their ayam kampung dishes is a killer, right?

Ok back to this one particular Restoran Kepala Ikan , located at a row of shoplots in Section 9, S.Alam (same row as Trust Lighting, very nearby McDonald's Sec. 9).......the fish head curry served in a claypot was truly awesome that as I'm typing right now, my husband is enjoying this very same dish (again) with his office mates. He just called me up ten mins ago happily crossing the road to enter the restaurant. They are on the way for a factory visit in Kapar, Klang and turned into S.Alam so that he could introduce this restaurant to them :).

Last Saturday, we ordered omelet and steamed asparagus with sambal to accompany our fish head curry and had this drink to quench our thirst, they are honey and lime juice.

Restoran Kepala Ikan obtained Halal certificate from JAKIM and proudly displayed the sticker at the entrance so eat with confidence ok ;). There are so many other dishes to order at this restaurant including a wide selection of noodles and fried rice. Oh btw, our meals on that day for 2 pax with 3 plates of white rice and 6 drinks was approx. RM75.

The Big Birthday Do...

Last Friday, I celebrated my birthday again after more than six months of my actual birthday hahahaha.......buat lawak ke apa? Heheheheee actually my Company's recreation club decided to celebrate its members' birthday every quarterly but since the decision was made only recently during the last two committee meetings, therefore we celebrated at one go everyone's birthday from January to June.

Since A(H1N1) is in its pandemic stage and my colleagues travel quite alot (if they don't, extra precaution still has to be made), we decided to just arranged the candles on the cake and not light it. Euwwww.....I don't think anyone dares to eat the cake after more than 30 people blew the candles on the cake, right? This is the 5kg cake ordered from a cake shop in Taman Desa which I didn't like at all. It's a sponge cake with raisin bits in it (raisins kah?). I only ate the almond flakes at the side the cake, that's it. I do have sweet tooth, but I only indulge when the calorie is worth ingested ok. Please lah, next round.....kindly order from the cakemaker I suggested.....kenapa lah degil sangat???!

Anyway, the food catered for the function was good. Singapore fried meehoon, rendang ayam (cooked by our canteen operator) was yummy, kuih kasui ( the chocolate colour) and kuih serimuka (green ones) ordered from a colleague's friend....not too bad at all, curry puff bought from the stall behind our office building ok-ok sajalah, should have ordered from our canteen operator though. My plate.... this was all I ate.....but 30 mins later I lied down on a treatment bed for an inner retreat massage....adoi lah!!! My masseuse could feel the undigested food while massaging my tummy.

The partial crowd gathering at 4.30p.m. at the staff canteen last Friday...... free food and no need to do work during office hour kan, siapa tak nak ye tak hehehehehee.... Berbaju kurung hijau pucuk pisang di hari Jumaat yg mulia ;) .

Begin.Being.Beyond @ Beyoga...

I woke up early last Sunday morning to attend Bloggers' Special yoga session with Ninie the celebrity yoga instructor at her spanking new yoga studio where I met other bloggers whose blogs I'm far too familiar with but have never met the bloggers personally like Chics *wave*, Iza and her sister Wany and oh yeah not to be forgotten the only thorn among the roses that day heheheee.....Huai Bin who is such a sport.

Beyoga is definitely the newest yoga sanctuary in Klang Valley with superb location at the heart of Damansara Perdana. At first I thought to myself it's quite impossible to sign up for classes there, but then again it's really not that far from my office if I wish to attend class after work, or I can take the Guthrie Highway from where I live to reach there on weekends.......splendid! After all, I'm loving the eco-friendly environment and industrial-minimalist ambiance of the studio. I tell you, this is truly the place to be for potential and existing yoga practitioners to begin or resume their yoga practice with Malaysia's best yoga teachers, no less wohoooooo! Oh btw, if you don't already know, Ninie Ahmad is one half of beyoga's founders. Ninie is also the Yoga Ambassador for Adidas Malaysia, such an accomplishment I must say. Ninie's co-founder of beyoga is none other than Azmi Samdjaga, Asia's most renowned Ashtangi.......I kid you not.

Now back to our Bloggers Special yoga session, the class is called "Karma Yoga" which means action or deed and it's a beginner's class. For that particular class, our yoga therapy and poses were to help boost our immunity system to fight airborne virus and common cold......I likeeeee......coz with the current world situation, namely influenza A(H1N1) and with my ever super-sensitive nose and allergy to certain medium, I am often down with the common cold which is very irritating :(.

Even though I hv been practising yoga quite regularly for the past 3 yrs, anyhow........any class with Ninie (be it a beginner's class sekalipun), I will sure get muscle pains days later. Today, the 5th day after my class at beyoga, I still have mild aches here and there. Anyway, just for you to know, there is more to yoga than just the painful poses combined together. I promise you that you will embrace every single muscle pain you have after each lesson as a positive sign to a better body and living :). Oh btw, I think I must be *ahem "the most matured" student in that Sunday morning class but I'm proud to say I can do most if not all poses better than all the young ones ;). This my dear babes, means only one thing..........YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE!!! Yoga is NOT only for flexible and skinny people or the myth that yoga is only for women is totally bullshit. The only guy at my office yoga class is also the best among the rest of the fairer sex. And on that day, Huai Bin took to yoga like duck to water , really!. Also please bear in mind that all classes at beyoga do no incorporate chanting, spiritual elements nor religious activities yeah my babes. The truth is, yoga does not involve just specific religion or races.....it's a form of exercise after all. and all the while since day one Ninie taught me yoga at my office a couple of years ago, what we did in class was only breathe in....breathe out......with the right technique of course and do stretches, correcting our postures and trying to respect our limits and honour our body by taking care of what we eat and say.

Ok now let's check out some pix I managed to take on that day, happy viewing...........

This is beyoga from outside , and this is me at the entrance of beyoga in my Adidas yoga attire (in total support of Ninie lah kononnya heheeee). The zen lobby that greets you as you enter beyoga, cool stuff. Oh yes, beyoga is equipped with the wireless internet facilities btw. This is one of the 3 yoga rooms and the biggest at beyoga. When I reached the studio at 9.20a.m. this class was full! Our yoga room on that day is located on the upper floor, smaller but comfortable at the same time. Do check out beyoga's clean and neat changing room......nice.......

Ninie briefing us what Karma Yoga is all about and the breathing techniques, etc. Our refreshment prepared by Ninie and her beloved Supertall ....sweet.....and my very own exclusive beyoga yoga mat bag with a yoga mat inside and my membership card .....YAY!!! And last but not least, my final photo of the bloggers and friends who sweat it all during Ninie's Karma Class last Sunday . Can you spot the petite Ninie amongst us bloggers?

If you are interested to join any of the 50 yoga and Pilates classes offered weekly at beyoga including Yoga Dance, Ashtanga Led: Primary Series, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga and Yogilates in any of the three spacious studios complete with Hot Yoga, pls contact them at .........

Lunch Date with the Girl Friends @ Garden Cafe...

On Sunday, I met up my Manjung Moms plus 1 at Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe in One Utama. I woke up very early that Sunday for a session of yoga at Beyoga (more about it in my next entry) and adjourned to meet my ladies early afternoon.

It's my first time at Garden Cafe. The place is quite big actually but still it was packed with customers by the time we arrived at 100p.m., lucky thing we got the very last table available. The menu was extensive and the set lunch was priced quite reasonably. Toot @ Mrs. Vecchiarelli and BFF ordered black pepper chicken chop from the great value set lunch (RM17.90+). The grilled chicken chop came with black pepper sauce and sauteed french beans, quite a generous portion . Oh yes, the set comes with soup of the day which I think was cream of asparagus .....delicious and a choice of ice lemon tea, coffee or ice coffee. My friends got the Garden's special ice lemon tea . Toot is crazy about it.

For a change from my usual salmon steak, I ordered baked cod fish 'coz it was priced at RM37.90 (usually cods are way more pricier, right?).........but.........it wasn't good :(. And my fish came with mashed potato, garden salad and the yucky short and fat beans.....urghhhh I hate this type of beans that I couldn't care less to know its name. Hmm......unsatisfying pricey meal but at least it was healthy ;).

Another friend, Mai reached Garden Cafe after the three of us had done with our lunch. Nevertheless, we waited for her to have her meal (she ordered the same as the other 2 ladies)before we moved our butts to The Teh Tarik Place for coffee.

Since Garden Cafe was beautifully decorated, there must be a photo session with the ladies kan.....wajib tu! . Me and my yoga attire worn from 7.30a.m. with body full of all dried up sweat hehehehee.....

Garden Lifestyle Store and Cafe is located at the New Wing of One Utama, at LG308C. On weekends, I suggest you call up for reservation at 03-77286441 to avoid disappointment.

I Felt Like A Princess @ Villamay...

I'm on leave today to bring my daughter for her follow-up with the doc (alhamdulillah no more follow-ups) but I tell you I'm so much busier at home than at work.......how can this be? All my girl friends tell me this too and sometimes when we're on a long medical leave, we can get sicker by just staying at home, ironic isn't it heehehe.....

Now as I'm waiting to fetch my daughter from her tuition class at 9:45p.m., I'll upload pix of http://www.beautyunlimited.com.my/ which I took on Saturday when I went there for my first spa session. I wanted to book an appt. last Friday itself but the place was fully-booked in the evening so first appt. on Saturday it was. Btw, first appt is at 10a.m. and the last is at 6p.m. I reckon, since they're having a 25% discount on it's body scrub treatment (1 1/2 hr), I might as well combine this and the body massage.

I spent 3 hrs pampered by my therapist named Ayu who hails fr Bandung, Indonesia. They have 4 therapists at B'yyu Villamay and all are from the neighbouring country. This is one of the treatment rooms.... and this is my outdoor bath area that comes with a single-seater steaming room, toilet and shower all alfresco style ;). Upon arrival, I was asked to fill up a form by one of the therapists named Ribut hehee.... She has a serene-looking face even though her name is something else. I was later ushered to follow Ayu to my treatment room and the minute I was in the room I went "ooohhhh........ahhhhh......cantiknya.....". It really is a super awesome place! I was given a lovely batik sarong and a few of the "A" grade disposable panties to put on. Ayu soaked my feet in a bowl of warm water scattered with rose petals and she proceeded to rub and cleaned my feet. Then I sat in the steam room for 20mins (I never like this treatment....it's really suffocating and boring!!!) and right after, laid on the plush bed for a scrub session. There were about 5 types of powder/granules for exfoliation purpose to choose from and I chose the green tea powder.

When scrubbing was done, I was told to take my shower under the open-sky while Ayu waited for me just some 5-feet away. I'm sure many will be uncomfortable at this point but I'm ok with it. After shower, I get to soak my body in the whirlpool tub scattered with many-many pink and red rose petals while Ayu went to clear my treatment bed for the much-awaited 1 1/2 hour full body massage session. I ticked "Hard Massage" in my form instead of "Mild" or "Medium" and guess what....that slim girl named Ayu has such strong hands that at times it was a bit painful on my part....hahahhaaa padan muka, eksyen sgt!

Teramatlah bestnya Ayu massaged me sampai tertidur lah kan that she had to wake me up fr slumberland after she rubbed in aromatherapy oil on my body. I chose 2 different types of aromatherapy oil which I totally forgotten the name, maybe lemongrass and ginger but they're good for relaxation and to destress. Anyhow, lavender is my least likeable fragrant....I'll get mild headache when I smell it too long.

I paid RM261 after a 25% discount for the 3 hr treatment and I felt extremely rejuvenated. Ayu took me to tour the whole premise and explained what other services are available at Villamay. The whole villa could be rented btw for RM750 a nite including cook and staff. Weddings, parties for up to 150 pax could be catered by them for you.

This is treatment room for couple . There's a swimming pool right at the doorstep of the room , can you see it? This is one of the gazebos and garden area for outdoor parties , cantik kan? And last but not least, the entrance of Villamay.....
.

I received B'yyu Spa's loyalty card and when I've completed 6 stamps (RM100 treatment for 1 stamp), I'll get a free session of a full body massage, interesting huh? I'll definitely collect more since I already received 2 stamps. Dazzelyn and Sabaq (anyone else wanna join me?), you girls must come with me ok.....sure tak menyesal! The full body massage cost RM135 at any other time for a 1 1/2 hr of full bliss and heavenly treatment, not bad kan? Then later we could all adjourn for high tea at Villamay while enjoying its beautiful surrounding.

Kinnaree Thai @ Jaya One...

I'm about to leave for Villamay shortly for my scheduled body scrub and massage that will last for 3 hrs.....ahhhhh bliss....... Meanwhile, let me share with you my latest food venture....

One of my lunch kakis and one of the prettiest lass here in my office is leaving for greener pasture soon *sobs*......I am gonna miss you la dear ;). I didn't realise that she's that popular 'coz though she's pretty, I don't see her mingling around that much with the rest but testament to her popularity here, there are 3 groups bringing her out for lunch to bid her farewell. I joined the 2nd group after missing the 1st group last Monday since I was on emergency leave. Yesterday, we took her to Kinnaree Thai Restaurant at Jaya One. Out of the 7 of us, only one had been to Kinnaree prior to this so the rest were anticipating eagerly for the kind of food to be served to us as this place is touted to serve gourmet Thai food.

First to come was banana flower salad with fresh prawns, followed by fish cakes and seafood tomyum. The banana flower salad tasted like rojak, the fish cakes were quite bland but the tomyum seafood was quite good, flavourful actually. Amongst the 8 mains , I like best the green chicken curry, stirfried squid with chillies, hotplate tofu and deep-fried garoupa in tamarind sauce . I couldn't care less about the grilled duck salad....erkkk! I've tasted far better pandan chicken elsewhere and the ones at Kinnaree came with lotsa fat......euww! The pandan chicken are not that nice eaten by itself but dipped with the thick soy sauce & chilli, they tasted much better. The complimentary dessert of pandan-flavoured glutinous rice with 2 scoops of ice cream - mango and honeydew ended our hearty lunch with a satisfying feeling. You absolutely must try this. You'll get one such dessert with every RM50 if you pay with Citibank credit card. I had 2 servings since there were only 7 of us and 10 plates of the yummy desserts heheee.... Our Classic Set with 2 starters and 8 mains for 8-10 pax was priced at RM398+ and our drinks of bottomless mint tea and lemon grass tea cost RM5 plus each and mocktail cost RM9 plus each. Lastly, pic of Kinnaree from its 1st floor entrance . You could enter this restaurant from the ground floor entrance and walk up the stairs to the dining area, typical of all 2-storey eateries in Jaya One.

I think the price is steep, food-wise I would categorise it as so-so only. One thing I don't quite like about Kinnaree is it doesn't have individual meals like noodles or variety of rice dishes accept for a few of the dishes that they put under "Side Dishes" column. And if there are 6 or 7 of you and you choose the set for 4-5 pax, they will only serve 5 bowls of tomyum unlike other Thai restaurants that I've been to whereby they serve the whole pot of tomyum and rice to you and it's up to you to share the dishes among yourselves. It's the most expensive lunch I've ever paid for a long-long time at RM87 per head.

Anyway, Kinnaree is located at 12-1 Palm Square, Jaya One, 72A Jalan University, 46200 Petaling Jaya and the tel. no. is 03-7957 3910 or 014 688 9098. Make sure you bring your credit card along or enough cash to cover your food yeah.

Private Dinner @ VillaMay...

Last nite, hubbs and I were invited to a surprise birthday do of his old friend-cum-former lecturer-cum former boss at this beautiful villa in Section 7 Shah Alam. The place is called Villamay. I remembered reading an article about this spa in S.Alam a couple of years ago and in fact I did call up to enquire but never had the chance to visit.......but I never thought that it's just a stone's throw away from my inlaws' place. We pass by the premise almost daily but it never crossed our mind that it's a spa-cum private restaurant 'coz the location is amidst other beautiful bungalows, very interesting.

The invitees of about 20 pax were mostly uni-mates including the b'day boy's wife (excluding me coz I'm much2 younger than everyone else heheeee). Hubbs told me we're supposed to be there by 7.45p.m. but the truth was 8.45p.m.........imagine we waited for almost an hour for everyone else but nevertheless, I took the opportunity to snap many2 pix of the plush villa. Too bad I didn't bring my digicam, the pix were taken with my h/p and it being nite and all with dimmed light everywhere made it worse.

The buffet-style dinner prepared for us by the chef .....starter of ulam-ulaman, sambal belacan and "cucur" , main dishes of delicious sambal prawns (I ate 5 or maybe more of the huge prawns heheheheeee), vegetable dalcha, roasted lamb (as usual hubbs had 2nd and 3rd helpings of this), lemon chicken, Japanese tofu, crunchy stirfry asparagus sambal with soup, white rice and "nasi minyak". Dessert section....... .....all home-made. I was told that the cupcakes are the same ones as B'yyu Cupcakes kiosk in SACC Mall............not too bad at all. My fave dessert were the mini choc cake, mini cream caramel and mini choc cheese cake.

You can call them up to cater for your own private function. You and your guests are sure to be bowled over by the place, I promise coz all of us who were there last nite liked the place so much. Oh btw, one of the invitees who is also the wife of the b'day boy's biz partner is the person who did up the interior for the villa. Such a small lady with a big talent!

The prettily-decorated main table for the dinner last nite .....notice the purple balloons at the far end of the table? I took many pix but since they turned up quite dark, I'll just share these 2.......the main entrance of the villa that leads to all things pretty and one of the beautiful toilets at the villa just so you can imagine if the toilet looks like this , imagine the rest of the villa itself ;).

After dinner, we moved out butts to the adjoining room for a karaoke session....hmmmm my least favourite to-do activity. Hubbs took to the microphone like a semi-pro singing one song after another hahahaaa and so did a few others except for me. There's no way I'll sing to anyone else except to myself, yeah my voice is that bad!!! Then, we all sang happy birthday song and continued eating and singing. The b'day cake in the form of cupcakes decorated with highrise buildings 'coz the b'day boy is an architect. You can't really see it but the chocolate-coated cuppies have 2-3 blocks of buildings made of wafers.

At 12 midnite, everyone else was still happily chatting away and singing their lungs out but my eyes were really heavy.....ya lor, I haven't had enuff sleep since last Friday mahhh... We had to excuse ourselves 'coz I gotta wake up early for office today. The rest ok lah 'coz they are all self-employed except for only 1 or 2 like me :(.

I'll blog about Villamay's spa called "b'yyu Spa" once I return there for a session. They are currently having a promotion until end of July for 3 of their massage treatments, it's RM100 instead of RM135 for a 1 hr 30 mins massage..........I shall call up for an appointment soon.
If you are interested to book the place for your private function or for a spa session, call them up at 03-55104433 or 03-55193899. They are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays though, but special bookings are still accepted on Sundays and PH, so enquire within.

Krispy Kreme Malaysia...Alahai...

After coming to our shores some couple of months ago, only today did I manage to sink my teeth into Krispy Kreme in KL itself. Having been reading not so good reviews about it in other blogs....mostly of the donuts being too sweet, I couldn't help myself but to try it out as soon as I got back to the office and performed my zohor prayer (even though my tummy was still full of lunch from Tenpanyaki).

Hmmm....honestly speaking, I was surprised that I didn't have to queue for it (I bought mine fr Mid Valley). Then, there's a slight hiccup at the payment counter when one of the cash registers was faulty and there's a sudden short queue due to this. Krispy Kreme, pls train your staff well to handle certain equipment and situation and to be more alert like J.Co's staff. I love J.Co staff, their accent and all ;).

When I opened my box of donuts, I didn't get all excited of what I see (I am mostly so....when facing yummy donuts and cupcakes heheheee). The glaze donuts looked slightly overcooked and the texture not as soft as how I remembered it to be :( ......... see what I mean ??? This pic is true colour btw. Nevertheless, I finished that piece of donut and yes, quite sweet even for a sweet tooth like me, but anyhow, the whole donut was still tasty. Then, I went to my next piece, the vanilla glaze (haiya, I only took half of it lah....tummy still so full but can't wait to try it). Urgggghhhh......sorry......upon my first bite, I went "bleurrgghhhhh". What the heck is going on? I couldn't even finish the half piece that I took.......I honestly don't know how else to describe it, such a disappointment :(.

Look at the differences between Krispy Kreme Malaysia and what I got from Jakarta and Bali . Not only that we have lesser variety here in Mid Valley (I dunno how it's like at Berjaya Times Square though), the taste of the donuts here are simply too sweet. I'm sure there's a recipe guideline to follow worldwide, right? But how come the Krispy Kreme donuts here in Mid Valley don't taste like those outside Malaysia? Please...please don't be put off by Krispy Kreme elsewhere outside Malaysia 'coz seriously, Krispy Kreme Donuts are truly scrumptious!

Father's Day @ SMC...

We were supposed to celebrate this year's Father's Day at Subak Restaurant.....all the eight of us plus my bro's yet-to-be-born baby boy but it was fated not to be for my daughter was hospitalised from Friday before dawn right up to yesterday, so in a way, we all celebrated this year's Father's Day at the hospital instead when everyone came to visit. Tapi takpelah, Papa got nice prezzies from hubbs and I this year.....perfume and watch fr Hubbs and a chequered short-sleeved shirt fr moi. I came back to office only today with panda eyes but not an ounce of weight lost due to lack of sleep hmmpppfffff.... My poor girl however, lost almost 3kgs.....

A few days before Father's Day itself, my daughter had wrapped up all the prezzies for her Babah, for Tokayah a.k.a. my Papa and for her Paksu and Maksu's bday on 29th and 28th June respectively. She's the family's gift wrapper, she loves wrapping up gifts and she's super creative too.......senang kerja Mama, no need to do all that hehehee.... I bought 2 different gifts for their Babah from each of them and this is for my own Papa ....so klakar kan the wrapper adalah cartoon and pink gitu, lantaklah heheheee.... My l'il boy also brought back a very cute butterfly card for his Babah which he made it in class together with his teacher and classmates, nice.....

This pic was taken by hubbs just before our daughter was put under anesthetic for the surgery to remove her appendicitis . She has been having severe stomach aches a couple of times since early this year but every time we took her to see the GP, none could relate the pain with appendicitis, the last time was less than a month ago when I requested for an ultrasound scan to be done and still we were told it wasn't appendicitis.

Last Thursday nite at abt 9p.m. she casually told me her stomach ached a bit but it was just for a few minutes, then she went to bed some time later. At about 1:00a.m. on Friday, she woke up to an excruciating pain she told me but only woke us up at 3a.m. By then she was crying out loud that hubbs took her straight to the hospital and was admitted for surgery at 8.30a.m. We were told later that her appendicitis already ruptured before it could be taken out but alhamdulillah with the modern equipment and better antibiotics, it's not fatal like it used to be many years ago.....syukur.

This is the current pic of my darling daughter, just before we were both discharged from the hospital yesterday . All smiling to be out of the hospital finally......dah kurus dah dia.....
